Running Towards Opportunity: Back 2 Boston Pilot Project

Our mission is to empower individuals from disadvantaged areas by providing them with the opportunity to qualify and participate in the Boston Marathon. Through comprehensive training, mentorship, and support, we aim to demonstrate how running can transform lives, foster personal growth, and build a sense of community. By harnessing the power of perseverance and dedication inherent in marathon training, we seek to inspire participants to overcome obstacles, achieve their goals, and lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Founder John Kinsella

The project aims to bring communities together through the transformative power of running, as we foster a sense of unity and shared purpose. Through collective training sessions, community events, and mutual support, participants and their communities build stronger, healthier bonds. Our project not only promotes physical health and personal achievement but also cultivates a spirit of camaraderie and resilience, empowering individuals to become ambassadors for positive change within their neighborhoods. Together, we strive to create a vibrant, interconnected community where everyone can thrive.
